Epidemiological evidence show athletic fields and playgrounds near high traffic roadways present safety and long-term health risks for park users, especially exercising children and young adults. The link between air pollution and adverse respiratory and cardiovascular health is substantial. 

It is imperative that our Village Council work with the EPA to investigate and assess emissions, air quality, expo­sures, health and environmental effects, as well as methods to mitigate these impacts.
